At Beacon we are passionate about town and city centre placemaking, which is an approach to city planning to repair the social, environmental and economic problems of an urban area. Our objective is to transform obsolete or blighted areas into economically productive places in the community. Our team aim to:
- Create a sustainable neighbourhood community that is vibrant and varied, and provides opportunities and better futures for as many people as possible, whether they are residents, businesses, workers or visitors.
- Contribute to the long-term regeneration of the area through effective use of Beacon’s assets.
- Target investment in a coordinated way to ensure schemes and uses complement each other, meet local demand, support Beacon’s existing property portfolio and align with the Council’s strategies and Welsh Government programmes.
