Beacon have proudly delivered a wide range of high-quality homes and commercial spaces, made possible through a combination of private investment and valuable support from Welsh Government funding. Our completed developments reflect our commitment to creating vibrant, sustainable communities across south Wales. Explore a selection of our recent projects below.
Developments completed in the last 3 years
Hendrefoilan Park – Sketty
Completed in 2025, this development brought 15 homes for social rent with a mixture of 2 and 3 bed houses, on the site of the former Hendrefoilan Student Village, built in the 1970’s over 20 acres.
Hendrefoilan Park is a beautiful development surrounded by mature woodland and wildlife. It’s located close to the incredible Gower Peninsula – the UK’s first Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty – that boasts stunning coastal walks and beautiful sandy beaches.
Clyndu Street – Morriston
Completed in 2025, this development brought 9 new homes for social rent, designed to be in keeping with the local area. This development is located near local schools, Morriston Hospital and travel links via the M4.
Llys Vivian – Sketty
Handed over in 2025, this development delivered 13 one-bedroom apartments in the heart of Sketty – a popular suburb or Swansea.
As part of the project, a public car park was also refurbished and continues to provide public parking, along with newly-installed electric vehicle charging for the local community. This development was part-funded by the Welsh Government and the contractors were Easyliving Ltd.
The Meadows – Gower
This development, completed in 2024, is located at the south eastern edge of the Gower Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, on the beautiful Langland Peninsula.
It delivered 8 new homes for social rent – a mix of one, two and three bed houses and bungalows – as well as 8 two and three-bedroom homes for Low Cost Home Ownership.
Dan Yr Allt – Rhydyfelin
Completed in December 2023, we worked in partnership with Cwmtaf Health Board and Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council on this development, which was completed with construction partners P&P Builders and Roofing Contractors.
This much-needed bungalow was designed as a hospital discharge home. Its purpose is to help reduce pressure on NHS hospital beds by providing people with a safe, accessible place to recover after leaving hospital. Residents can stay there while they complete their recovery and until they are ready to return home full time, or until suitable long-term accommodation is found for them.
The property is suitable for 1 person and features an additional bedroom for a family member or carer to stay with them.
Coed Darcy – Skewen
Completed in 2025, this development benefited from Welsh Government’s Innovative Housing Programme funding and was Beacon’s first experience constructing modular homes. With 50 homes in total – 8 modular and 42 traditionally-built, this development includes bungalows, houses and flats, all for social rent.
Our modular homes were delivered in sections weighing 11 tons, that were then hoisted into place on a pre-prepared slab for connection to utilities and final works. All of the modular homes were manufactured off-site by Ilke Homes and Daiwa House Europe, and then delivered to our site in Neath. Benefits of modular homes include a shorter construction time, as well as reducing carbon emissions by half compared to the traditionally-built homes.
