Vacancy - Home Safety Assistant
Description
We’re looking for a Home Safety Assistant to help residents live safely, independently and comfortably in their homes. In this role, you’ll carry out assessments both over the phone and through home visits to understand each resident’s needs and identify any risks or support required.
You’ll offer practical advice on aids and adaptations, discuss fire safety and evacuation plans, and complete Person-Centred Fire Risk Assessments (PCFRAs). You’ll also support residents in accessing funding, grants and relevant services, and work closely with Occupational Therapists, Local Authorities and internal teams to ensure the right solutions are in place.
The role is ideal for someone who is organised, compassionate, confident working with the public, and keen to help people maintain independence. You’ll manage your own workload, maintain accurate records and contribute to improving the service through feedback and insight.
If you enjoy working directly with people, solving problems and making a practical difference in your community, this is a meaningful and rewarding opportunity to join #TeamBeacon.
